Final Blog Post

I really really enjoyed this class.
I learned so much more about the adobe suit then I thought there was to know. I love working on the tablets and altering images in photoshop. Creating Posters and flyers or funny images is what I like to do and hope to do in a job later down the road. This class has been the most influential to me, more than my other studio classes.
Learning from the very beginning to simplify and create super sleek and interesting logo designs really helped my understanding of good design and propelled my designs forward-
I believe I have improved; through examples by professor Babcock and the other students in class who's art raised the bar in what was expected out of our projects.

Creating these little books was my favorite part of the class since I like working in the 3rd dimension rather then just on a computer. I like having something physical that shows all the hard work we put into our projects.

Thank You,
Shelby Mehan

How-To process

I was also thinking since hipsters like to be completely original or earth-friendly, that the Zine should be made from recycled materials or materials that are not necessarily 'normal'.

Maybe using newspaper or paper coffee cups to construct part of it. Or more things that hipsters use in their every day routine.... Just things to keep it interesting.

My How To Zine..

My plan is How To Be A Hipster..

A funny how to explaining the stereotype we give to those kids who try way too hard to be HIP.
Just a few things most hipsters do and go by, using the list of things above, each item as a new page with its own graphics. Picture above is of the style i am thinking of doing the graphics in. And the images below are just some that i thought were funny and fuel my how-to.

Final Info-graph

What became of my information:
coffee cups show how much coffee i drink throughout the day, the lightning bolts for energy during the day, backround represents the change in day, morning to night, and figures show a quick representation of how i feel during those parts of the day. Detail information depicts why i feel the way to do.

Plans for Information Graphics Project

Im charting my personal Energy levels and Moods throughout the day with the amount of coffee i consume.
Thought of using the shape of a coffee cup as for the base of time, and maybe steam for arrows or maybe different sized lightning bolts to show energy.
Also might incorporate what i do during the day which might effect my mood as well.
